Mount Calvary Cemetery is the only Catholic cemetery in west Tennessee, outside of Memphis. It has a long history in the Catholic community of Jackson. Jonathan “Casey” Jones, an internationally-famous railroad engineer, is buried in this cemetery!
The cemetery is operated by our parish staff & cared for by the Friends of Mount Calvary, who maintain and beautify the property throughout the year. We have recently installed new fencing & an access gate. If you would like to become one of the Friends of Mount Calvary, please email Calli Carpenter at our parish office.

We also are in the process of digitizing cemetery records and providing online search capabilities. If you would like to search online for your loved ones burial place, or post pictures, videos, & written memories of your loved ones, visit our new Remember My Journey page.
Our parish is also in the process of building a columbarium (part of Phase Two of our Building Our Faith & Future campaign). The columbarium & memorial garden will be placed between the existing Adoration chapel & the new parish office. See the image below for basic information.
All inquiries about cemetery plots or columbarium niches go through Calli Carpenter at the parish office. Contact Calli via phone or email: 731.668.2596 or calli.carpenter@stmarys.tn.org.
